Revelations 5:10 tells us, that God has made us to be kings and priests. That speaks of authority, not our own, but His. There are too many of Gods kids who are being deceived by a spirit of pride, and instead of spending their time DOING the work of a minister, they’re competing and lobbying for a title. Some pastors aren’t satisfied with being a pastor, they now want to be called a prophetic pastor or a pastor with an “apostolic anointing”.
There are some who have only been in the ministry for a very short time, and now seek to have a coronation ceremony to be placed in the office of an Apostle. There are prophets who have only been standing in that office for a few years who now proclaim to be apostles. What have you done? Have you functioned as an evangelist for years? Have you operated as a teacher for years? Have you pastored long enough to be a mentor for young men called to shepherd? Have you proven yourself as a true New Testament prophet to those more seasoned and mature than yourself?
Today, I don’t hear of many men and women being satisfied with the calling to be a pastor, or teacher, or evangelist or now, even a prophet. Being chosen by God to be used in the kingdom is still sacred and God stills views it as an honor. There are those who God has given a deep desire to pray for others and for certain ministries. They do this and no one ever knows that they’re praying or knows their name and that’s the way they want it. Then there are others who have to be tagged as an “intercessor”. For some it’s the need to feel valued and for others it’s a power thing, or the need to control those who look to them for advice or direction. Then there are others that feel it’s not what they are called, but rather what they enjoy doing.
There are 3 kinds of leaders.... man appointed, self-appointed, and God appointed.
I want to encourage you today to find your place, embrace your place, pray in your place, stay in your place, rejoice in your place and be content in your place. Remember, your gift will make room for you and they will know what you are and what you are empowered to do and be by the fruit you bear. To sum it up in 3 words…JUST DO IT!!
